Maison Alhambra Incense Ebony - the aroma begins with peppery, wafting incense over smooth woods. It made me think of the smell of fireplaces burning in winter, but less intense and refined, more of the concept of a campfire in the middle of the forest, because there was not just incense smoke, but something darker. The woods were noticeably drier after 15 minutes of settling on my skin with a note of papyrus. As the incense fades into the background, Maison Alhambra Incense Ebony becomes creamy, dry wood and aged leather with a touch of resinous sweetness. I felt that the sweet, lightly spiced resins added more warmth and smoothed out the composition, although the incense was more of a puffy haze after an hour of wear. It was a more linear journey, which isn't a bad thing as long as you enjoy those notes, and it only got sweeter and creamier over the next few dry hours.
